Your day, at your pace
Tell me what you’d like to see. It might be a castle you read about years ago, somewhere you know from Outlander, or a glen you once saw in a photograph. I’ll plan a route that takes you there and leaves time to walk around and enjoy it.
I take couples, families and small groups all over the country. Stirling’s royal castles, the glens of Perthshire, the old abbeys of the Borders, and further north into the Highlands when you’re ready to go further.

If you’re heading on to Inverness, Fort William, Skye or a ferry to the islands, I can drive you and all your luggage there on the most beautiful roads in Scotland.
We stop wherever you like along the way. Viewpoints, waterfalls, a castle or an old kirk, and lunch somewhere good. It turns a travel day into a day out.
Hello, I’m Lima
I moved to Scotland five years ago because I loved its landscapes and its history, and I’ve been out exploring it every week since.
It started with showing friends around, then friends of friends. In the end I decided to make it my work.
What I enjoy most is taking people to places they wouldn’t find on their own. A quiet ruin, a waterfall a short walk from the road, the viewpoint the coaches drive straight past. If you’d like to travel at your own pace and see the places on your own list, I’d love to hear from you.

How much does a private tour cost?
Tours are priced for the whole group rather than per person, Day tours start from £650 for the whole group of up to seven. The final price depends on your route, the length of the day and how many days you’d like. Send your plans and I’ll give you an exact quote.
Is the tour just for our group?
Yes. Every Paths of the Past tour is private, so the vehicle, my time and the day are yours alone, and the pace is set by your group.
Where do you pick up from?
I collect you from your hotel, home or holiday let in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling or the towns nearby, and drop you back at the end of the day.
Can we bring children?
Yes, families are very welcome, and the day can be planned around younger travellers with shorter drives and plenty of stops.
What if the weather is bad?
A private tour can change with the weather. On a wet day I can swap an exposed viewpoint for a castle, a historic house or a long lunch somewhere warm.
